Junior Python Microservice Automation Developer

Job description

Location:         Ottawa, ON

                         Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office

Term:               Term: Short Term (3 months) Employment (Possibility of extension)

Our partner has an internal test automation framework that requires new test suites (that are already written) to be integrated the framework. High Tech Genesis is in need of someone to build a python based microservice that will use REST API calls to integrate with the framework.

If the integration goes smoothly and quickly, the role could grow into a much longer-term position.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Research the existing API documentation to figure out what needs to be written in order to integrate the new test suites

  • Develop the microservice code (Linux based)

  • Test the code

  • Be sensitive to new opportunities to integrate more test suites

Job requirements

Demonstrated Experience in:

  • Jenkins Pipelines

  • Linux

  • Python

  • Microservice architecture and development of microservices

  • Development using existing REST APIs

  • Github

  • Test automation

  • Python Celery or alternative task queueing/processing solutions

  • Valgrind
