Location:         Ottawa, ON

                         Hybrid: 1-3 days per week in the office

Term:               Full time, permanent   

High Tech Genesis is seeking a detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take charge of automating infrastructure provisioning, managing configurations, and streamlining application deployments.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins using both declarative and scripted Groovy pipelines

  • Deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm chart development

  • Perform Linux system administration tasks, including system configuration, patching, and troubleshooting

  • Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure automation projects

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure

  • Work with networking and data center teams to support infrastructure integrations and operations

Job requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure automation, DevOps, or related fields

  • Proficiency in Jenkins, with experience in declarative and scripted Groovy pipelines

  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Python and Ansible

  • In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm for package management

  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and hands-on Linux administration experience

  • Experience with basic DevOps practices, such as version control, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and experience with data center environments

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack

  • Understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
