HTG is looking for an experienced HP NonStop Systems Administrator to support a major Canadian banking client. You’ll manage, support, and maintain HPE NonStop systems, with occasional phone-based support for escalated client issues. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in system builds, networking, security, and enterprise integration.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administer and support HPE NonStop systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Configure and manage NonStop Network CLIMs and related networking components.

  • Perform system-level troubleshooting using protocol tracing and tools like Wireshark.

  • Manage and maintain secure communication protocols including SSH and SSL.

  • Handle SSL certificate management and encryption/decryption processes.

  • Configure and maintain NonStop PROXY services, including FTPS, FTPC, PROXYS, and related protocols.

  • Set up and maintain DNS and Nameserver configurations.

  • Interpret and modify prewritten TACL scripts for automation and system tasks.

  • Utilize OSS/Linux commands for system administration and diagnostics.

  • Install and configure HPE Insight Remote Support (IRS) for proactive monitoring.

Job requirements

  • Strong understanding of Networking and Data Communication Fundamentals

  • Proficiency with Oracle Goldengate data replication

  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, SSH, and SSL

  • Experience with NonStop Network CLIMs

  • Knowledge of encryption/decryption techniques and SSL certificate management

  • Experience with NonStop PROXY configuration (FTPS, FTPC, PROXYS, etc.)

  • DNS and Nameserver configuration expertise

  • Ability to perform NonStop protocol tracing and analyze Wireshark traces

  • Understanding of TACL scripting

  • Experience with HPE IRS installation and configuration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry

  • Familiarity with OSS/Linux command-line environments

  • Prior experience in a mission-critical environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
