This full‑time role offers the chance to contribute within a leading high technology telecommunications environment. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team developing a wide range of optical communication products, including next generation optical switches and amplifiers.

In this role you will:

• Define architectures and implement control and Datapath logic. Configure and integrate IP cores.

• Build and maintain simulation environments, including scripts, testbenches, testcases, and bus functional models. Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans.

• Work with hardware and firmware teams on system integration and lab validation to ensure performance targets are met. Create and run automated test scripts.

• Apply and refine constraints, analyze build and timing reports, and ensure design robustness.

• Produce and maintain high quality design and verification documentation to support project knowledge and future reference.

• Support junior engineers and contribute to best practices in design, verification, and methodology.

• Participate actively in design reviews.

Job requirements

• Strong experience in ASIC or FPGA design and simulation using Verilog/System Verilog

• Solid background in synthesis, constraints, timing analysis, and clock domain crossing

• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines

• Clear, well structured, and well commented coding style

• Thorough, detail-oriented approach to engineering work

• Experience with AMD (Xilinx) or Intel (Altera) FPGA families and toolchains

• Knowledge of Constrained Random Verification, System Verilog Assertions, and advanced UVM methodologies

• Background in embedded processor SoC design

• Familiarity with PCIe, DDR memory, and AXI interfaces

• Understanding of digital signal processing concepts

• Experience with VHDL, C, Csh, Tcl, Python, or Perl

• Comfort working in a Linux development environment

• Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
