We seek an Embedded Software Test Engineer – Automotive to develop test strategies for automotive products, ensure full coverage, and support manufacturing deployment. Telecom experience required; automotive experience is an asset.

In this role, you will:
• Create and maintain test procedures to verify embedded software functions in automotive products and assemblies.
• Review software requirements for clarity and testability, and provide practical feedback to improve them.
• Work closely with R&D to document, investigate, and help resolve defects.
• Set up and adapt HIL test environments to support new features and updates.
• Develop and maintain test software (e.g., using NI TestStand) for functional and integration testing.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and contribute to process improvements.
• Take part in software and hardware technical reviews.
• Manage assigned tasks independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Support team members by sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in test development.
Job requirements
• 5 years of experience developing tests for automotive, electro-mechanical, or other complex hardware/software systems.
• Solid hands-on experience with automotive product testing.
• Good understanding of in-vehicle communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
• Practical experience with National Instruments tools (TestStand, VeriStand, LabVIEW) for test automation and system development.
• Experience with Python, C, or C++
• Strong grasp of functional and system-level testing approaches.
• Comfortable working with large test data sets and turning results into actionable improvements.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and drive tasks through to completion
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
