High Tech Genesis is currently seeking a Technical Sales Specialist in the clean energy sector. We are in search of individuals with exceptional entrepreneurial skills who can contribute positively to environmental impact. Your role will involve overseeing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closure, and managing customer relationships throughout both the presales phase and the production SaaS revenue generation lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships at multiple levels with existing and prospective customers
  • Create and implement sales strategies within current accounts while pinpointing new opportunities for sales expansion in the territory by devising technical solutions for prospective customers
  • Plan sales activity at each account and set sales goals and strategies by product line
  • Gain insights into customers' data and hardware asset systems, aiding them in transforming their business approach through the onboarding and utilization of our products and services
  • Make joint calls with Product Managers and the Sales Manager to support specific product initiatives and corporate objectives
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and consult with customers to secure victories for our products within their accounts
  • Create and implement a strategic plan for territorial accounts to attain revenue objectives
  • Recognize, nurture, maintain, and enhance essential customer relationships with stakeholders in the clean energy sector
  • Oversee the sales funnel, guiding leads from the initial stages to secure customers on 3–5-year Software as a Service (SaaS) contracts
  • Establish yourself as a reliable consultant to our customers, aiding in the adoption of renewable energy assets and the electrification of transportation
  • Readiness to travel and represent the company at tradeshows, acting as an advocate and speaker at industry events as required

Job requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in an industry-related field with exposure to the clean energy sector is a plus
  • With more than two years of experience in B2B sales, specializing in the sale of intricate, high-value enterprise software projects, preferably within the context of a technology startup environment
  • Previously demonstrated strong technical skills and the ability to quickly comprehend intricate concepts in environments driven by data and mathematical complexity
  • Preference will be given to individuals with 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, sustainability engineering, technical, or product management roles, and a keen interest in transitioning into sales
  • Having prior experience in sales within the renewable energy market, encompassing technologies related to wind, solar, battery storage and EV charger control, is considered an additional asset
