High Tech Genes is seeking a RAN Engineer-5G to collaborate with our lab team in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting equipment for customer environments, while providing expert knowledge to facilitate testing of pre-GA products and software in virtualized O-RAN systems nationwide. This role involves close collaboration with various partners in the lab.
In this role, you will:
- Ensures solutions meet all criteria specified in the specific test plans
- Provide SME support for testing teams to deploy, troubleshoot/resolve complex issues with installed RF and O-RAN test systems for RAN equipment
- Engages and escalates issues with vendors when equipment or software isn't performing as expected
- Coordinate and implement proposed changes and software upgrades
- Will maintain updated technical specifications of lab and external systems managed by the lab team
- Able to Deep Dive into Lab Network for identifying network issue and provide necessary suggestion to improve
- Monitor the E2E Application
Job requirements
- Hands on Experience on Integration Experience vRAN/Open-RAN
- Knowledge on Transport IP Planning, CIQ’s
- Preferred NEP knowledge is Samsung or Mavenir
- Knowledge of Linux, K8s is must
- Knowledge on EMS, UMS for configuration
- Experience in monitoring alarms
- BS in Engineering or technical degree or an equivalent combination of highly related experience and education
Optional requirements:
- Experience of 5G core

- Ability to analyze problems and customer handling
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills
- Aptitude for Creativity and Innovation
