Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer

Term: Full time, permanent


High Tech Genesis is looking for a skilled Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer to join our team. The RAN Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the Radio Access Network infrastructure. The successful candidate will have experience with 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks and possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities include: 

  1. Design, implement and optimize Radio Access Network infrastructure.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that the network meets requirements.
  3. Identify and troubleshoot network issues and provide solutions to improve network performance.
  4. Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
  5. Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, equipment inventory, and network configuration files.
  6. Participate in network capacity planning and network performance monitoring.
  7. Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring that vendors provide high-quality products and services.
  8. Ensure that the network is up to date with the latest technologies and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Radio Access Network design, implementation, and optimization
  • Strong knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP Switching and Routing
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Ericsson or Nokia RAN equipment is a plus
